It was a great summer, unfortunately the 3rd week of August came too quickly, this year Maddy started 2nd grade and Mikayla started Preschool!
For Mikayla, this school thing is ALL new!
Mikayla was in a good mood until I tried to take this picture, this was Mikayla 1st day of school, Maddy's 2nd. LoL!!

Yes, in case anyone was curious... I did shed a tear on Mikayla's 1st day of school, but I managed to hold off till I got to my car in the parking lot. The start of school is a BIG deal, but we did have a trial run earlier this year when she went to Mom's Morning Out. Mikayla was used to the experience of being dropped off, having fun and following the rules. I was used to it too, so the start of Preschool has been no problem. She goes two days a week from 8:45-12 and absolutely loves her teacher & her classroom. Her school has a 5 star rating and a fabulous reputation so I am really excited that she'll have a spot here for VPK next year too. Mikayla is definitely in good hands, when she leaves this school in two years, she'll be prepared for Kindergarten!
