This past weekend Maddy & Mikayla were both running moderate fevers. Both of my girls have good immune systems but I'm always cautious. Sometimes these fevers pass, other times their fevers are just the tip of the iceberg. Since it was too early to tell what was going on, I figured it was best to stay close to home so they could fight off whatever was brewing. Every fever, even the small ones need extra rest, extra fluids, and extra hugs & kisses!
Maddy played Mario & Sonic 2010 Olympic Winter Games for the Wii most of the weekend. It really is a fun family game! Maddy mastered the figure skating the first time she played it. This girl is racking up gold medals left and right and enjoying the real Winter Olympics on tv too. GO TEAM USA!
Mikayla loves to pretend play. Dressing up, hosting tea parties and cooking in her kitchen are her favorite ways to spend any day... fever or no fever! Here's my girl dressed in her Sleeping Beauty costume having tea and a snack with hers & Maddy's Build-A-Bears.
Thankfully, the girls' fevers fizzled out on Sunday. Neither of them got above 99.5*, so on Monday Maddy made it to school and Mikayla made it to Mom's Morning Out. Hooray! Let's hope the activities of the week don't run them down all over again!
