Potty Training

Last Sunday, we stopped at Babies R Us in Sarasota to make a special purchase with Mikayla.  Her very own potty.  So far Mikayla is making great progress but still has a long way to go.  She's using the potty well but her biggest challenge is holding it for 30 minutes.  She's been wearing pullups around the house but I think the diaper-like feel is too familiar.  So now that Mikayla is comfortable with going potty we're dressing her in undies so that she's aware of her accidents immediately.  Hopefully, this well help her learn to hold it and use the potty independently.  I am trying not to push Mikayla too hard because I don't want her to rebel.  It's crystal clear to me that she won't be potty trained overnight, so all I can do is be consistent and keep encouraging her when she has successes on the potty and successes staying dry!
