This Saturday was a relaxing one, our schedule was wide open! No family events, no birthday parties, no commitments. It was nice to just spend a quiet day with the girls and not have to go or be anywhere! That morning I took the girls to our local library to stock up on some fresh reading material. Yes, we have more books than we can count here at home but now that Madelyn is in 1st grade, we need to keep our story times interesting! Borrowing books from the library is a lot fun, especially around the holidays. Whether it's Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day or the 4th of July there is thousands of titles to choose from! On this trip we found some great 1st Readers that Maddy can read independently, as well as some cool story books for bedtime.
Saturday evenings have also become our regular family pizza night. This week we made a classic pepperoni for the girls and Chicago style Italian beef specialty for Mike & I! Mmm Mmm! We also watched Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen, Madelyn is a HUGE Transformers fan! Go figure!? That's ok, Mike & I like them too!
