Mikayla's 4th Birthday!

Mikayla's 4th Birthday was just two short days after Maddy's dance recital.  Unfortunately, her birthday  also fell on a Monday which meant Mike was going to have to work, so we kicked off her Birthday festivities on Sunday!

We spent Sunday at Grandma K's by the pool.  We lunched, we swam... it was a relaxing day.

That evening after we got home I turned Mikayla's bottom bunk bed into a fort with one simple sheet.  She loved it!

So did Maddy, she & Mikayla had a sisters' sleepover in the bottom bunk together!

The morning of her Birthday, Mikayla woke up looking like the lead singer of a 80s hair band. LoL!  She did love that chocolate donut with sprinkles!  Not the healthiest of breakfasts but she loved having a special treat.

After breakfast, we got packed up for our favorite summer destination, the waterpark!

We got there early so we could save chairs for our friends that were coming to meet us!

We were so happy Caleb, Colin, Gavin, Bella, Olivia, Shay, Conner & Collin were able to come! :)

No trip to the waterpark is complete without a sno-cone!  One Spiderman & one Barbie coming up!

 

Mikayla & Olivia had a blast together, these two were inseparable in preschool!

The kids had so much fun together, Mikayla was a Happy Birthday Girl!

When we got home Mikayla helped me bake & ice her birthday cake!  We colored the icing pink & put sprinkles on it!

Our party table was all set!  Cake, check!  Balloons, check!  Party hats, check!  Noise makers, check!

Time for presents!  Yay, Olivia dress up stuff!

Mikayla just loves Disney Princesses, with the release of the new flick Tangled, there's a bunch of cute Rapunzel toys to choose from.  We gave Mikayla a crown, purse & necklace set.

A vanity to go with the new Rapunzel doll from Auntie Lauren.

And of course a Rapunzel dress!

Our Princess!  Needless to say, she loved everything we picked out!

After Maddy's Birthday & their shared Birthday party, it was so nice to finally celebrate the day Mikayla was born!  She was so excited for her special day and was amazingly patient waiting for it.  Everyday is an adventure with our Mikayla, she has more spunk in her little pinkie than most people have in their whole body.  She definitely keeps Mike & I on our toes but we love her to pieces & can't imagine our family without her.
