This past Saturday June 27th, I turned 32! Since my birthday fell on a weekend it was a great opportunity to plan fun activities with the girls and a date night with Mike. Saturday morning I took the girls to the beach, much to our disappointment the shore was covered in seaweed and the Gulf was waist deep with it. We weren't able to go in the water but the girls still had fun digging in the sand.
Yuck.
Saturday night, Auntie Lauren offered to babysit. (Thank you Lauren!) Mike & I don't 'go out' often so we really wanted to make the most of the night and still stay on a budget. After dinner at Tijuana Flats (which was delicious) and seeing the Hangover (which was hilarious) we met up with our best friends Jackie & Brad for drinks at the Gator Club. http://www.thegatorclub.com/ Jackie's birthday is the day after mine so every year we celebrate our birthdays together. We had the best time! Sunday our birthday festivities continued, instead of our annual Melanie/Jackie Birthday BBQ we took our kids to Chuck E Cheese. We ALL had fun, we beat the Florida heat and went home to clean houses!
