Since 2002, Madelyn's school has earned $11,951 through a program called Box Tops for Education. This year alone, Madelyn's school collected over 20,740 Box Tops @.10 cents each totaling $2074! That money helps her school buy books, computer programs, playground equipment, anything it needs. To encourage students and parents to save their Box Tops, the PTO awards 1 bowling party & 2 ice cream parties to the top earning classrooms at Madelyn's school. This spring Madelyn's class lost their 3rd place spot. :(
Parents, students and staff are still encouraged to save their Box Tops over summer break. I have collected 50 since April. If anyone would like to help us by saving the valuable Box Tops that pop up in their pantry or freezer we would greatly appreciate it! The benefits of this program are wonderful but Madelyn would love to win a party too!
