This June, I turned 34. Yikes, 33 I didn't mind... but 34? Ugh! Anyway, my birthday fell on Monday which isn't my 'favorite' day but at least it was close to the weekend, so we could start celebrating early and I was off of work! Saturday night we had a nice little birthday dinner with my StepMom. She made Mike, the girls & I French dip paninis with au jus and a red velvet cake! Sunday Karen left for Georgia but she was nice enough to let us have a small get together at hers & my Dad's house so we could enjoy the pool. The weather forecast was calling for a good chance of rain, so instead of grilling we made homemade pizzas. Good thing too, because it poured that evening!
Monday, I was off but Mike had to work. So the girls & I did what we do best. We went to the waterpark our friends. It was a drizzly, cloudy day but it was still fun. That night, Mike brought me roses, (my favorite) and we had birthday cake AGAIN! It was definitely a laid back beginning to my 34th year, but it was perfect. I am so blessed to have a thoughtful husband & daughters who make me feel special. Aside from the family & friends I got to spend time with personally, I also had an outpouring of phone calls, texts & facebook comments from so many others. I can't thank everyone enough for their birthday wishes! Let's hope 34 is a great year! :)
