Every first weekend of May we celebrate Maddy's Birthday & Mother's Day. Two special days that have joyfully gone hand and hand for 8 years now.
Saturday we celebrated Maddy's Birthday & Sunday we headed up to Mike's parents' condo to celebrate Mother's Day with the rest of our family.
The weather is heating up but the pool is nice and cool. The girls had a great time swimming with Uncle Mike & Cousin Cam.
We love having some snacks by the pool, this time Auntie Lauren? brought a bag of white cheddar popcorn. The kids loved it! Maddy raved how 'delicious' it was! Here's Cam chowing down on some wearing his cool shades.
The Gulf looked beautiful, we just had to go down to the water for a dip!
My Michael, this May we celebrate our First Date Anniversary! We will officially have been together for 16 years on May 21st! Man are we getting old! LoL!
We're having an official birthday party for both of the girls in 4 weeks, but everyone wanted to give Maddy a little something Sunday. Auntie Allison didn't want Mikayla to feel left out, so she got a present too.
I was excited to open Mikayla's present to me! She decorated the bag, made a pretty butterfly & a special card with our picture on it!
She was so proud of her hard work! Maddy gave me a small weaving that she made in school while studying about American Indian tribes at school.
Daddy got me the new bag I was eying at Target. It's cute but very practical. Now that I'm working again, I need a bigger bag for when I'm on the go!
Maddy's not the only one with a birthday so close to Mother's Day, Mike's Mom's is too!
Cam just loves cake, every time you set one in front of him, he wants to just dive right in. So we let him!
Cam & Mikayla helped Maddy & Grandma blow out the candles!
Whether or not it's a holiday, we always have a great time at the condo. The pool & the beach are so relaxing and it's so nice to spend quality time with our family. It's a shame these special holidays & birthdays have to end so quickly, but at least we still have a party to plan, Mikayla's 4th Birthday & Father's Day coming very soon!
Oh and one last thing! We've been sitting on good news for several weeks but we couldn't share it until Mike & Allison made their announcement publicly first! They're expecting Baby #2 this November! We are so excited for our favorite family of three - soon to be four!

Oh so YOU guys brought it!? It's good stuff! I never buy it because I could eat the whole bag myself! It was great seeing you guys too!
It was so great spending time with you guys & we can't wait for the girl's birthday party!!
It's so nice to be public with the pregnancy! Makes it a lot more real!
