This busy month of December is flying by! With Christmas, new projects and everyday life, I haven't had much time to blog! On top of the normal Holiday Hoopla we also have family birthdays to celebrate during December! Mike's and his Dad's birthday are back to back!
On Wednseday, I put together a family dinner that included Mike, Dad, the girls, Lauren, Gregg and our friend Dave. We had a few drinks, I made baked rotini, garlic bread and a salad for dinner and I whipped up some brownies for dessert which we also topped with vanilla ice cream! (Two of Mike's Dad's favorite treats that he rarely enjoys together!) Everything turned out great, the birthday boys had a great evening.
On Thursday for Mike's Birthday it was just the 4 of us. I picked up the ingredients for one of Mike's favorite meals! Steaks! I got Mike a ribeye and myself a ny strip. I also made Mike & the girls favorite sides; garlic mashed potatoes, sauteed onions, mushrooms & roasted veggies. This time for dessert I picked up an Edward's Turtle ice cream pie. If you've never tried one, then maybe you shouldn't. They are delicious and I only buy them for special occasions!
