Parading

Going to our Annual Venice Christmas Parade with our best friends is one of our oldest family holiday traditions.  It happens every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  It is a wonderful parade that entertains us all and always gets us into the Christmas spirit!

Mikayla, Maddy, Collin & Conner are ready to fill their bags with treats!

Here comes the fire trucks!

And the Boy Scouts!

Pirates!  Arrrrr!  We want beads!

This year, for the the first time ever, my Dad & my Step Mom were in town to share the week's festivities with us.  They came to Thanksgiving Dinner at our sister & brother-in-law's house and they came with us to the parade.  As new homeowners in our little town of Venice they really enjoyed it!  We're so glad they joined us!

Nielsen the tv ratings people always hand out 'handy' stuff!  This year we got a sturdy magnetic clips for the fridge.  They're great for holding the girls memos, calendars & projects from school!

We also saw this year's Sarasota Pal Sailor Circus cast, they're all kids from 4th grade to 12th!  For more information on this unique community attraction click the link!

Occasionally, the parade traffic comes to a halt... when it did we had some fun taking silly pictures!

Ooooo!!!  Ahhhh!!!  That was the Nokomis Beach Drum Circle tribe that went by!  Amazingly they didn't light any hanging moss from the trees on fire!

There's vehicles of every kind! Fire trucks, cop cars, classic cars, motorcycles, horse carriages, trollies and boats!  You name it... it's in our parade!

And NO Christmas Parade would be complete without Santa!!

Merry Christmas!!
