For the most part it was low key holiday for the Schuth family. Unfortunately, Mike had to LABOR all weekend so he wasn't able to relax with me and the girls very much. Thankfully, he has a new opportunity that will be bringing some new challenges and welcomed changes. I will elaborate more on this later... stay tuned!
Back to the events of the weekend!
Sunday we attended my best friend's Mom's annual Labor Day BBQ. Marata invites us every year, there is always plenty of delicious foods, cold drinks and pint sized playmates for the girls. (Unfortunately, I forgot my camera!) Since, Mike missed out on the BBQ we did have our family pizza night later that evening. Mike made a plain cheese pizza for the girls and a taco pizza for us! This picture doesn't do it justice! It was delicious!
Monday, I took the girls to Sharky's Beach. It was a beautiful day! We took a walk, had a swim, we saw a bald eagle and lots of fish!
The girls enjoyed our trip to the beach and the view of the Venice Fishing Pier so much that when Mike got home from work we went back to Sharky's Beach for a picnic dinner & a sunset stroll.
Oooo ahhh!
Mike & Maddy do have fishing poles. Both of them were eying the bait shop and the fish below, next time we go to the Pier for sunset we'll make sure it's not on a school night!

What nice photos. Madelyn is quite the poser, I meant that in a model way! We used to go to Sharky's all the time, especially when family was down visiting. Just south of there is where the dog beach is that we take Tucker to. It looks like everyone had a good holiday afterall.
Looks like a wonderful day. I love the pic of Maddy posing... so cute! We went to the beach yesterday too, and it was a perfect day.
I agree with Lauren, that picture of Maddy posing is too cute! And BTW, I think you inspired our next Perno Pizza Friday with that taco pizza! Yum!
Also, I love the picture of Mike & Mikayla eating their sandwiches... too cute!
